Ty and Leighton' Southern, Classy and Coastal Wedding
Ty and Leighton' Southern, Classy and Coastal Wedding
Our Bride Leighton wore a custom Foster wedding dress. She took the bodice of Tybee and the fabric, skirt shape and bow of Foster to create her classic dream wedding dress. The result is this plunging v-neck princess seam trumpet gown of mikado with a v-back accented with a bow.
Ty and Leighton got married in the bride's home town (Knoxville, Tennessee) at Cherokee Country Club overlooking the stunning Tennessee River. The wedding theme was southern, classy & coastal. You might ask, how how do you incorporate "coastal" in East Tennessee? Well, her vision for the wedding revolved all around the timeless destination, Sea Island, a special place where the bride and groom both grew up vacationing, went on their first beach trip to meet the groom's family, and where Ty ultimately got on one knee and proposed October 12th 2020.

The bride wanted classy, timeless blue and white ginger jars mixed with white hydrangeas, palms and an unforgettable signature cocktail for guests to enjoy. Sipping the spicy AU"burn" margarita (an ode to the SEC school where the couple first met) overlooking the water on the terrace was a HUGE hit. Both the mother of the bride and mother of the groom have timeless, stunning taste. They had the vision for the evening and with the help of Peggy Buchanan at Heels and Veils, it all came together just perfectly.
"I took my mom and mother in law wedding dress shopping with me (again they have great taste) and I knew my Anne Barge dress was the one when it made me feel a certain, stunning, elegant type of way. All the dresses are lovely, but I KNEW it was the one when it made me FEEL a certain way all at once: bridal, beautiful, timeless and sexy, all in one. The custom dress was just perfect, AND the beautiful bow, adding the perfect southern touch made it tie in the wedding theme more perfectly than I could have ever imagined. I wore my Anne Barge dress the entire night until right when I exited for the evening. My exit dress was my great aunt's and mothers' (82 years old) wedding dress!!! I met with a designer to remove the train and had a fun, flirty, very special dress to get away in. A dear memory my mom and I will cherish forever!" Words from our Anne Barge bride Leighton Newberry
