Guide to Atlanta: Plan Your Visit to Atlanta’s Anne Barge Atelier

While brides can find Anne Barge gowns at retailers around the world, many choose to visit one of our flagship locations for an intimate, personalized experience and the chance to work directly with the Anne Barge team on custom details for their wedding gown.

If you are traveling to Anne Barge’s Atlanta Atelier for your bridal appointment, we want to ensure that your visit to our beloved city is just as memorable. To help you plan an unforgettable trip, the Anne Barge team has curated a guide to our favorite Atlanta entertainment, dining and lodging options.

Things to do

Atlanta boasts a variety of cultural exhibitions and museums, not to mention fabulous shopping. Here are just a few of our favorite ways to spend an afternoon.

Culture

Midtown is Atlanta’s epicenter for art and culture. Within just a few blocks, you’ll find many of Atlanta’s finest museums and best entertainment.

Make sure to get tickets to a show at the historic Fox Theater. Known for its unique Moorish design, you’ll want to spend all day marveling at the intricate architecture. Whether you’re interested in musical theater, comedy, or live music, the Fox Theater has something to offer everyone.

At the High Museum of Art, you’ll explore the largest collection of visual art in the Southeast. It predominantly features folk art from the American south, but you’ll also find diverse collections from other regions as well as Africa and Europe.

Another can’t-miss museum is SCAD FASH, home to the Savannah College of Art and Design’s (SCAD) fashion and film collections. Located in the heart of the Atlanta campus, the museum exhibits exciting, futuristic innovations in the film and fashion industries, including collections of textiles, jewelry, photography, and pieces by featured fashion designers.
Take in a breath of fresh air as you wander through the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. Nestled in the urban center of Atlanta, the botanical gardens provide a much-needed oasis filled with blooming flowers and exhibitions year-round. Visiting during the winter months? The gardens offer a stunning light display that’s guaranteed to put you in the holiday spirit.

Shopping

The Avalon in Alpharetta is one of our favorite locations to shop, dine, and indulge in a bit of self-care. This walkable community was designed to integrate luxury dining, retail, and living space. After exploring Avalon’s extensive storefronts, make an appointment for a relaxing treatment at the Woodhouse Spa.

Visit Vinings Jubilee for a one-of-a-kind shopping experience. Located in the village of Vinings, Vinings Jubilee mimics the 19th century architecture of nearby historic homes. This rich, traditional atmosphere is the perfect home for this collection of boutiques and specialty stores that offer unique goods that you’ll only find in Atlanta.

Buckhead Village presents both luxury designers and pop-ups from local vendors, all in one walkable district. You’ll find brands you already love, and perhaps discover some of Atlanta’s emerging new artisans.

Dining

Enjoy fine dining, Southern hospitality, and refreshing cocktails at some of our favorite restaurants in Atlanta.

Le Bilboquet transports guests to a Parisian square for classic, elegant French cuisine. Dine al fresco with a bottle of chilled rosé, or step inside to admire the ornate floral arrangements and art collections.

Inspired by the vibrant spirit of 1920s Saigon, Le Colonial is renowned for its exciting Vietnamese flavors in an upscale environment. We love sipping on their lychee martinis after a long day of Buckhead shopping.

Choosing your wedding gown is an occasion worth celebrating, so why not indulge in a meal at Atlanta’s best steakhouse? Bones boasts an excellent reputation for delicious, quality steakhouse fare and exceptional service. Be sure to make a reservation for this Atlanta staple during your stay.

Atlanta’s dreamiest dinner is served within the elegant St. Regis Hotel. The Garden Room is a favorite for its ethereal florals and lively atmosphere. Snack on shared plates, or just enjoy a cocktail at the bar to soak in this must-see Atlanta hotspot.
The latest addition to Ford Fry’s empire of Atlanta restaurants is Bar Blanc, an intimate space located above his other concept, Little Sparrow. Bar Blanc transports you to a lively Parisian “friterie,” where the fries are the star of the show. You’ll also find an expansive list of creative cocktails and refreshing wines to pair with your steak frites.

Located conveniently near the Anne Barge Atelier, R&C Kitchen is the perfect place for lunch after your bridal appointment. Their elevated takes on classic American dishes are served in a relaxed but luxurious setting, allowing you to unwind and revel in the excitement of finding your wedding gown.

When you need a quick bite, Henri’s Bakery & Deli is a casual spot steeped in Atlanta history. Since 1929, Henri’s has been a go-to stop for breakfast sandwiches, light lunch, and pastries.

Accommodations

Atlanta is home to many opulent hotels that are conveniently located near the atelier. We highly recommend these hotels for the best service Atlanta can offer.
