Now that December is upon us, it is time for Winter Weddings! The season of merriment begins in December, celebrations abound in January and love continues on through February. If you are a Winter bride, we want to share these Winter Wedding Ideas with you to help make your special day its most memorable.

Let’s start with these Color Palettes to inspire your Winter Wedding…They are perfect for December, January, and February events.

Frosted Spruce Hues

Frozen Tones

Valentine Palette

These chilly months require fashionable choices for the bride and her bridesmaids to keep warm while also looking chic! How about luxe faux fur stoles? Or cashmere pashminas in the colors of your wedding? These accessories also make wonderful gifts for your attendants that they can wear again.

The Groom and Groomsmen also want to look their best. Winter weddings don’t need to rely on flowers for their lapels to shine. Details of the season can spruce up their boutonnieres and make them dapper for the day!

Pine cones and rosemary boutonniere

Berries in black and white

Your wedding reception tables should set the mood for your Winter wedding and stay in keeping with the season too! We love the idea of yarn details on a tablescape. This idea not only has a rustic vibe but gives a feeling of coziness too! Or how about glittery sparkle to highlight and shine like ice crystals under candlelight? And for a February wedding, awe your guests with long tables decorated with florals from pale pink to a deep red giving the illusion of an ombre wave of color!

Icy Sparkle

Romance in Ombre

Are you and your Groom loving the idea of Signature Cocktails at your wedding? We love these Winter themed drinks for you and guests to enjoy. Not only do they keep in tune with the spirit of Winter months, but also have a joy in their seasonality!

Hot Toddy Bar

Egg Nog Martini

Cranberry Marguerita

Lastly, let’s focus on your wedding guests. Treat your loved ones to special favors which are both useful and unique to the Winter months. If you want some DIY ideas, here are a couple! Fill mason jars with hot cocoa mix and mini marshmallows for your guests to take home. We know they will think of you as they enjoy this sweet and warming treat! Or, have a basket displayed of shawls wrapped with bows for the ladies at the wedding to keep warm with at the end of the evening.

This week we are honored to feature our first Anne Barge bride who was married this Autumn.

Lindsey and Will said “I Do” in September at a gorgeous outdoor ceremony. The setting was on Lake Martin in Alabama amidst trees donned with hanging crystal chandeliers. Whomever said you can’t have sparkle and drama at an outdoor wedding has not seen an event from Wedding Planner M.Elizabeth Events!! The gorgeous bouquets and floral arrangements were created by Hot House Design Studio.

The bride, Lindsey, wore Anne Barge collection style “Chatham” and she looked GORGEOUS! She found her silk taffeta and guipure lace ball gown at The White Room in Birmingham, Alabama. The Chatham dress was the perfect choice for this bride in its traditional formality and ability to transition to a flirty party dress when the bride wanted to kick up her heels. How does it do that? Well, style Chatham is a two-piece ensemble which allowed Lindsey to take off the overskirt late into the reception and dance the night away in her cowboy boots and lace mini!

We are excited to share with you these beautiful photos from Lindsey and Will’s wedding. Images courtesy of Simple Color Photography. Enjoy!

Happy Wedding Wednesday! As the temperatures fall and a chill is in the Autumnal air, we wanted to feature a destination wedding this week.

Rachel and Burton were married in beautiful Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. The Cabo Azul Resort is a stunning location with a setting overlooking the Sea of Cortez. The couple exchanged vows in the resort’s open-air, five story wedding chapel, El Corazon.

We love this modern beach wedding. Callaway Gable Photography captured the romance of the day perfectly. Enjoy these select images from the couple’s special day!

(The Groom, Burton, was a finalist on the CBS reality television show “Survivor: Pearl Islands”).

Happy Wedding Wednesday! This week we are featuring a West Coast wedding from the city of angels – Los Angeles, California. The couple were wed at the Skirball Cultural Center in LA. The outdoor ceremony was filled with soft pastel hues, lots of smiles, and beautiful sunshine. The bride, Kristen, wore Anne Barge style 612 with its romantic layers of tulle trimmed in horsehair and appliqués of French Alencon lace highlighting each tier of the ball gown skirt. Romantic… Idyllic… Dreamy…Enjoy the gallery of images by Heidi Ryder Photography.

Pepper Nix Photography is one of our favorites and today’s wedding shows why. This beautifully captured wedding took place at the Sundance Resort in Utah. The bride and groom, Kate and Rob, chose a palette of plum, grey, and bordeaux for their wedding. The decor is resplendently elegant with its rich tones and accents of shimmering candlelight throughout. Enjoy sharing in the love and beauty of this couple’s special day! xo

For their Summer wedding, Lauren and Alan were married at a private residence in Sun Valley, Idaho. The wedding palette in sunshine yellow and touches of turquoise was the perfect color choice for this cheerful celebration! The couple chose to set the theme early with custom invitations illustrating a monogram and symbol which would be used throughout their wedding day. This week’s featured real bride took our breath away! Ashley wore Anne Barge collection style 612. Her romantic wedding is picture perfect in thanks to the talented team of Justin and Mary Marantz who captured the day through their lens. The setting was Branford House Mansion which is located on the UConn Avery Point Campus in Groton, CT, overlooking Fishers Island Sound. The wedding day unfolds as if in a fairytale dream…

Enjoy!

This week’s featured wedding is a grand affair which took place in Houston, Texas. We know you will enjoy the photos not just from the couple’s wedding, but also from the bride’s beautiful portrait session with her darling dog at her side.

The Chateau Cocomar was the setting for today’s featured wedding. EJ and Melissa  said “I Do” amongst the grandeur of this stunning estate. The couple’s miniature goldendoodle, Rigby, served as the ring bearer. So adorable!
