Today I am going to share with you the inspiration behind the newest collection. It is stunning and I wish you were there to watch the runway show- but don’t worry, I will post tons of pictures to make up for it! Enjoy these fabulous details from Anne with a little bit about the fabrics, silhouettes, and overall Parisian essence of her newest and most fabulous collection… HAPPY MONDAY
Anne was inspired by the news of the two year closing of the Ritz Paris for renovations, which was built in 1898 by Cesar Ritz, and was in it’s glory between 1898 – 1920. The historical aspects of the Ritz Paris influenced everything from the accessories, hair and makeup, cocktail hats, and of course the gowns themselves. Anne incorporated Karen Lindner’s jewelry collections. Many of her pieces were designed with vintage beading and ribbons to accent our gowns and bring in color. The runway music resonated the French theme as the models strolled down the runway and evoked the magical feeling of being in Paris.
This was the first season Anne introduced artwork inspired by Paris itself from the blush ombre lace pieces to the hand stamped silk organza to the abundance of removable overskirts. The collection showed many variations of necklines other than strapless gowns to compliment a woman’s decolletage.
