Wedding Cakes ~ Couture Confections

Weddings today are all about the details, and our brides are all about being inspired. One of our favorite trends that we are seeing are detailed wedding cakes! We have seen many brides use their wedding gown as the inspiration for their cake design. Cakes are becoming as unique and personal as a bride’s gown, and what better way to incorporate your favorite details of your wedding gown into your special day?! We have include some of our favorite cake designs and their inspirations- what are your favorite wedding cake ideas?

Accessorizing your big day…

We all know that a bride’s wedding gown is one of the most important purchases she will make. Unfortunately, in most cases, she will only wear it for one day. This is why we just love Anne Barge belts to accessorize with! You can even wear some of them after the big day for a night on the town! It can become your daughter’s “something borrowed” when she gets married, and your granddaughter’s “something old”. Belts are the fresh, new accesory that can make you stand out just a little bit more on your special day! If you feel like customizing even more, why not try it on a colored ribbon- to tie you into your wedding theme!

Here are just a few of our favorite Anne Barge belts…

Real Bride in Charleston SC

Another Anne Barge bride is featured on Style Me Pretty and we are thrilled! This couple chose to have a destination wedding to celebrate their Southern roots. The setting is beautiful Charleston, South Carolina. The bride wore style 617 in Pearl over Pearl which perfectly suited the theme of “love, lavender, and lace.” Special touches which made their day memorable were the following:

  • Lovely lavender perfumed the air from the single stem on place settings to sprigs in the men’s boutonniers.
  • Style 617 lace was the inspiration as it covered the stem of her bouquet and was imitated in buttercream icing on the wedding cake.
  • Under a canopy of trees decorated with hanging lanterns, guests could enjoy the night air on comfy couches and rocking chairs.

Thank you Style Me Pretty for this great post!

Real Bride in Ipswich, MA

We love todays real wedding blog on Style Me Pretty as it features an Anne Barge bride!

The bride looks gorgeous in La Fleur style LF160. The couple wanted a classically elegant affair inspired by the garden. The location of a stately manor house in Ipswich, MA was a gorgeous selection to set the scene. But alas…the weather did not cooperate. However, this couple did not let it dampen their spirits as they brought the outdoors in. We especially love these personal touches:

  • The bride walked solo down the aisle, in honor of her deceased father, as she felt he was there in spirit.
  • The placement of a brooch on the bride’s gown to add sparkle and further dramatize the couture bow.
  • In lieu of guest favors, a Thank You card at each place setting indicating a charitable donation.
  • Flip flops at the reception for ladies to change into to ensure dancing into the wee hours.

Real Bride in 582

One of our fabulous brides sent us pictures of her on her wedding day. They are just too beautiful not to share! Lauren is wearing style 582. This romantic lace gown was perfect for this beautiful bride. Thank you so much for sending us your pictures! Best wishes to you and your husband!

Featured Dress…Porter

Today’s featured dress is a romantic yet whimsical style, Porter . This post was inspired by Style Me Pretty’s recent photo shoot in Costa Rica! This dress makes a perfect beach wedding gown and goes stunningly with the eclectic feel and inspiration behind this shoot with vibrant bouquets and details. Porter is constructed with lush silk organza fabric accented by statement making flowers dancing along the hem. She is accessorized with the Porter Belt, on a taupe taffeta ribbon. We are loving the photo shoot and have shared a few photo’s below!

Thanks Style Me Pretty!!!
