It is true that Anne Barge is a high end bridal designer. She uses the best fabrics, hand beading and lush detailing all of which make for luxurious looking gowns. While some dresses retail for thousands of dollars, it is possible to be an Anne Barge bride with a budget. Check out this look complete with veil, shoes, jewelry, belt and dress all for under $5000! While this look is perfect for an outdoor garden wedding, check back tomorrow for another under $5000 look!

Today’s dress is another beauty from our newest collection that debuted only a couple weekends ago. Dresden is a great example of traditional lace done right. A gorgeous notched neckline shows off the gorgeous floral design of the lace bodice. After the dropped waist, the skirt pleats into a voluminous ballgown with lace hemline. The detail that really sets this lace dress apart from all others is the back flounce detail. It’s traditional and timeless without being stuffy. This dress is great for all body types and works any time of year. It can be dressed up or down to fit almost all locations. You can see Dresden on select trunk shows and in stores soon. This week we will be at two fabulous locations. We will be at The White Dress by the Shore in Clinton, CT and Solutions in Orlando, FL. These are two of our best salons, and they always go above and beyond just the gown.

I know today is Thursday, but I kind of have big plans tomorrow. I have thus decided to put up Friday’s Featured Dress today so as not to forget and deprive you of gorgeous photos. This week’s featured dress is from our brand new collection, and her name is Pembroke. She received so many compliments after closing down our runway show I thought it only right she be the first featured dress from our new collection. Made of gorgeous metallic gold lace, Pembroke is sexy meets girl next door. She begins with a sheer lace neckline and runs down a very fitted bodice and ends with a gorgeous trumpet skirt. Coordinating lace scallop emphasizes the knee line and hemline. Pure dramatic beauty. This gown can be seen on select trunk shows and by special request but will be in stores soon. She is available in pearl and white if golds not your cup of tea. Feel free to email us for more information and pricing at

This weekend we are so excited to be traveling to Salt Lake City, Utah and Corona Del Mar, California. We hope that any brides in the area will take this opportunity to visit our extensive trunk show collection at these fabulous stores and take advantage of their unparalleled service.

One of our best stores at customizing gowns, Alta Moda in Salt Lake City has an incredible eye for fashion and beauty. We have worked with their staff on numerous build-ups and customized bridal gowns, and all have turned out gorgeous. They have a unique eye or knowing what will and won’t work, and thus have churned out some of our best one-of-a-kind brides. A trunk show is the perfect time to utilize their skill as they have more gowns to work with as well as an Anne Barge rep. You will leave their store feeling 100% satisfied and special. Not to mention, their blog and staff are great resources for anything wedding. We highly encourage you to visit them if you are located anywhere close by. You will be happy you did!

Who better to help you find your wedding dress than a bride who has been through the rigors of finding her own dress? That is Marlis, owner of the White Dress in Corona Del Mar, California. After seeing a gap in the California bridal market, she and her husband started the White Dress to help brides find not only the perfect dress, but the perfect look. Their stylist are excellent at finishing your entire look leaving you polished and 100% satisfied. The second best part?  (The first being finding your dream style) is that once you purchase your gown they pop a bottle of champagne to celebrate and the bride signs the cork. You will find signed corks of happy brides all over the store. Such a great idea and it brings all that good karma into your big day!

We tend to toss around terms a lot in the bridal world, and we use them to describe gowns on our “Friday’s Featured Dress” all the time. What do they actually mean? Well, there are tons so I figured we could break it down, and today we start with necklines. Here are the most common bridal necklines, and instead of more words to define them, we will use photos.
