Today’s dress comes to us from the newest Anne Barge collection, and her name is Marley. She is a one-of-a-kind whimsical gown. Her gorgeous draped bodice drops low into a big a-line skirt, and her modern lines are adorned with soft, romantic flowers. The best part of Marley however, it the amazing dotted organza she is made from. A light and airy fabric, the organza with flow with you and any breeze while being a bit playful with the dots. She is great for anyone wanting to show of their feminine curves, and is better suited for warmer months. Marley is on select trunk shows and will be in stores soon. Our beautiful bride ,Amanda, emailed us some photos of her custom Anne Barge gown for our Facebook page. We did in fact put one there, but there were so many beautiful photos, we put the rest here for all to see. We love the whole look from the gown to the veil to the hair and make-up. She was a flawless southern bride who will never go out of style. Thank you so much for sharing these photos with us Amanda…we love seeing and sharing them. Anne Barge is so happy to add another celebrity to our cocktail line roster. This week in Cannes the beautiful Bollywood star Fagun Thakrar wore a gorgeous coral Anne Barge “Blake” gown. She looked amazing in this color with flawless hair and make-up. Here is a photo of her in the gown, and just in case you wanted to see the rest of our All-Star roster here is Amber Riley and Julia Ormond again!

Today’s dress is another beauty from our newest collection. Her name is Blythe, and she is a traditionally gorgeous gown. The natural-waist bodice wraps around the torso with flattering spaghetti straps. The large A-line skirt is topped with a lovely lace and floral belt. I cannot emphasize enough how classically elegant this gown is. You will look like a beautiful bride a hundred years from now, and your daughter can wear this down the aisle and still look current. This gown is flattering on everyone, perfect for any location, and can be styled for any season. Did we finally make “the” perfect gown? Possibly! This gown is available on select trunk shows, and it will be in stores soon. For additional details, pricing and locations email us at

After a bride asked us to put up pictures of our gown Quinn I was reminded of how amazing that bodice was. We used this bodice from the success of another Anne Barge gown, 614. One of the most interesting and flattering of our bodice, this one drapes and tucks around the body emphasizing the small-ness of the waist and the femininity of the bust. Anyone can wear this bodice, but simple or beaded…its up to you! For locations, pricing or additional details email us at

One of the uniquely great things about Anne Barge is the customization of gowns. She is one of the few designers who allows you to modify the original gown to be 100% perfect for you. The best way to do this is at a trunk show with an Anne Barge rep, but you can do it at any of our authorized retailers. You can change the color, beading, neckline, sleeves and so much more. There is no reason your wedding gown cannot be totally you and totally one of a kind. Here are some examples of custom gowns, and be on the lookout the next couple of days for real brides with custom gowns!

Check out this gorgeous Salt Lake City wedding shot by Erin Kate Photography. Of coarse the beautiful bride is wearing a La Fleur by Anne Barge gown! Yay, for starting Monday with an amazing wedding shoot!

Today’s featured dress comes from our brand new collection, and her name is Blaine. She is drama from neckline to sweeping train! We begin at the top with a scoop neckline and hand beading and embroidery. The waistline is accented with a satin band emphasizing the waistline for a slimming effect. Finally a dramatic draped skirt shows off the feminine form and culminates in a sweep train. Made of silk satin, Blaine is sure to leave your guest speechless. This gown is great for all body types and can be customized to be strapless. It is available on select trunk shows and will be in stores soon. May seems to be sample sale month for some of our retailers. Samples sales are perfect for brides who love designer looks, but not designer prices. While the dresses are not new they are still drop dead gorgeous, and buying a sample will save you tons. Here are some tips for buying a sample gown.

~Ask if the gown has been cleaned. If it has not, get the name of the stores chosen dry cleaner. It will cost a little, but it will make a huge difference. Just be sure not to “match” anything to the dress until after its cleaned as the color may change.

~If the dress is too big or too small, ask to consult the seamstress to be sure necissary alterations can be made.

~Keep an open mind. If you find a dress you love but it has sleeves. Take it! A good seamstress can make it strapless easy for just a smidge more money.

~Remember no returns, so bring all necissary descision makers with you. This is a one time shot!

~Make your appointment early in the sample sale to see the max number of dresses.

~Ask what sizes the stores samples are. Most ususally only have one or two sizes so ask ahead so you don’t waist your time.

Sample sales are a great way to find a deal and sale some of your wedding budget. So good luck, and happy shopping!
