Amber Riley is an amazing actress/singer on the hit show Glee. She wows you week after week with her amazing pipes and rockstar confidence, but last night she wowed on a whole different stage…the red carpet. She worked a black Anne Barge evening gown. We knew she was going to look amazing, but we didn’t know she was going to look jaw-droppingly, out-of-this-world phenomenal! She paired her Anne Barge gown with diamond bracelet by Chopard and amazing hot pink lipstick. We can’t wait to see what the next Anne Barge to grace a red carpet will be!!!

Today’s dress comes from the newest Anne Barge collection, and it was inspired by one of the greatest American fashion icons ever…Jackie O. Made out of smooth and luxurious silk taffeta, this ballgown exudes classic bride. The gorgeous minute details begin at the neckline and go all the way to the hemline. We start with an innovated keyhole-like neckline which leads to a fitted dropped waist bodice. The natural waist in emphasized with a matching taffeta belt detailed a flower design. The full ball gown skirt is adorned with pleats of taffeta and abstract flower details. To cap off the iconic bridal look, a chapel train trails behind the gown to follow it down the aisle. This dress is perfect for any time of year and look amazing on all body types.  Location is tricky, as it can be casual, but no too casual, and it can go as formal as you like. In the past, designers seemed like movie stars. You could see their work everywhere, but had very little access to their celebrity. Those days are gone! In the age of technology you can get heads up about events sooner then ever, get sneak peaks at new lines, and even get inside the designers heads. It makes choosing a wedding dress so much more personal, and you now have a new column  on your gown selection chart.  The way you feel about the designer effects how you feel about their dresses. We are so sure that you will love Anne Barge, that she is everywhere.  It will only help solidify your love of Anne Barge’s gowns to know the woman behind them. You can follow Anne on Twitter (@AnneBarge), Facebook, website and blog. So get out there and discover the world that is Anne Barge!

I was sent this video by a friend. Usually, I don’t look at these and write them off as a silly YouTube video. This time though I watched it. I thought it was so clever…make something fun and people will do it. I wanted to share it today even though it had nothing to do with weddings or bridal.  I think it reminds us all…make it fun! Have fun with your wedding and your marriage, because having fun is healthier and burns more calories!!!

How about a fun Anne Barge dress?

This week I have been giving you bridal alternatives to the styles seen on the red carpet last Sunday at the Golden Globes.  It goes to show, that with a little re-search and creativity you can take star’s styles and transform them to bride styles. Seeing as today is our Golden Globe week wrap-up, but also Friday meaning it’s Friday’s Featured Dress” day, I am going to do something different. I will feature the Anne Barge dress that I would choose to wear to the Golden Globes…one can dream right?

And the award goes to…

Only I would change the lining to latte so the lace would pop right off the dress, and make it look a little less bridal. Oh, and lets add a fabulous pair of Jimmy Choos and some on loan vintage Chanel jewelry…for fun!

Scarlett Johansson always looks amazing, but this year she traded in her traditional bombshell look for a whimsical soft look. She proved with that switch-a-roo that she looks amazing any way she dresses. Her pale blush, beaded tulle gown, designed by Elie Sabb, flowed over her curves, and she floated down the carpet. Want a soft tulle look for your wedding day a la Scarlett? Try on Anne Barge’s style 273!!!

No Golden Globe fashion do-over is complete without JLo. Jennifer Lopez pushes fashion boundaries with dresses that make you go…”Wow, I wouldn’t have picked that but it’s gorgeous!” She did it again at this years Golden globes in a bold rhinestone beaded, 70′s inspired white gown by Zuhair Murad. Want to go diva on your wedding day? Here is our suggestion on how to wear it Anne Barge style – pair this Anne Barge chiffon gown with the Badgley Mischka Bride bolero! Gorgeous!

Golden Girl, Gia Mantegna, looked ravishing handing out the awards on stage. She started off the night on the right foot heading down the red carpet  in a fully beaded gown accented with a black sash designed by Lorena Sarbu. Want this look for your wedding day? Slip into Anne Barge design and simply add a 2″ wide satin ribbon sash.

Due to how amazing all the Hollywood ladies looked last night, I am dedicating this week to bridal looks inspired by the gorgeous gowns of last night. I thought a great way to kick off this string of posts was with the gorgeous Carrie Underwood. She dazzled in a fully beaded, champagne Badgley Mischka gown. Want this look for yourself, begin with Anne Barge’s style 432.
